"I ain't flop, I rised faster than expected..."
Driven by laughs, smiles, and a good time, Houston native, Anggwitadoubleg began her journey rapping having fun in the studio with music enthusiast. Unexpectedly, music became her life on a cool, end of winter night at Haze Lounge, where she would capture the hearts and minds of her audience and launch her career. “Unexpected, catching all the attention, piquing curiosity, anticipating doubleg to get on stage and see what she finna do. It was lit,” says Anggwitaboubleg.
Anggwitadoubleg was influenced by those around her. In the mist of jokingly discussing her future of music amongst friends, one will take her serious, and push Anggwitadoubleg to take the next step to becoming the next female rapper. Nervous by the sudden notion to perform, she took the stage and never looked back. Moved by the reactions of the crowd, Anggwitadoubleg continues to connect with supporters from fans to executives proving that she belongs in the music industry. She found comfort and friendship in another rising artist Rara_the_Unique_Voice. “She was there since my first performance. Creating an artist bond between the both of us. Taking my anxiety from me while I’m on stage. Letting me know it’s no shame in the game. Locking eyes does more than ease the pain in my soul on stage, then things become okay,” recalls Anggwitadoubleg.
In less than a year, she not only released her first single, but have managed to develop a network proving her potential net worth. Talk about jumping in and soring beyond.
Currently, her first mainstream single “blacc on blacc” exhibits the sounding soul of H-Town. It has the essence of chopped and screwed without being chopped up. While preparing for the music video for “blacc on blacc,” Anggwitadoubleg is currently working on her next project. She also intends on performing more in 2024.
